Briary Garden Services was established by Peter Brewis in 2006 in Shotley Bridge, Consett.
After 25 years working behind a desk a change was needed and an offer of redundancy provided the motivation required for a complete change of direction. To try something new and become a self-employed Gardener.
From a very modest start back in 2006, the development of the business has been based upon offering a quality gardening service at a realistic price. We are not the cheapest in the local market – nor do we try to be. Click HERE for information on Customer Feedback. We run a professional business that is fully insured and employs local people who are trained to carry out a great job for our customers.
Offering regular and one off gardening and related services to homes and businesses throughout the Derwentside area, concentrating on 3 key service areas:
Lawn Care – Mowing and treatments such as Scarifying and Aeration
Hedge Trimming and height reduction
Bed & Borders – Seasonal pruning and general maintenance
Our focus on delivering a professional service at a fair price has enabled us to grow every year with us working with hundreds of happy customers each month.
To help Briary develop further the Briary Garden Service Franchise has been developed. This has enabled us to provide the same high quality gardening service over a wider geographical area. We are now looking to recruit gardening franchise operators across the North East. The first of which, Ray Oliver, a former Briary employee, started trading in November 2011. His operation covers the Stanley DH9 area.
The most recent franchisee, Adam Guest, started trading in 2019 and covers the Lanchester DH7 area.
The Briary Garden Services Franchise provides an ideal opportunity for anyone in the North East region who would like the challenge of setting up and running their own successful garden maintenance business. Click HERE for more information.
Peter continues to be involved as the Managing Director of Briary Franchising Ltd.
